Eastwood swim coach retires

It was a dominant era lasting more than 3 decades at Eastwood High School.

Head swim coach Steve Flato has stepped away from the pool with one of the most impressive records in local sports history.

Flato retired after winning 32 consecutive district championships for the boys’ swim team, showing the strong tradition of excellence at the school.

It is still unknown who will replace Flato as the head coach. ABC-7 will also get Flato’s take Monday, June 8th.
