Man drowns in West El Paso
A man drowned in a pool Thursday morning.
It happened at the 6400 block of Dawn in West El Paso.
Police have not released the name of the 49-year-old Hispanic man.
Police say man been doing yardwork in the backyard of the home while carrying a gas-powered leaf blower on his back.
A co-worker who had been working in the front yard found him motionless in the backyard pool.
Fire and medical services personnel arrived and transported him to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
