Missing teen leads state troopers on car chase before crashing

A missing teen led state troopers on a high-speed car chase Saturday, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers said.

Officials say the teen was speeding around 7:15AM near U.S 54 near Dyer and O’Rourke in a stolen Pontiac when DPS troopers tried to pull her over. They say she failed to stop and a short pursuit began. Officials say the teen lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a fence on the east side of the roadway.

The driver of the vehicle is a 17 year old female, who was found to be a missing/wanted person. The front right passenger of the vehicle was a 15 year old female and was also found to be a missing/wanted person, she was transported to University Medical Center with serious injuries. The rear right passenger did not sustain any injuries and was identified as Thigpen, Estevan, 24, El Paso.
