see how easy it is to step outside and record? then share them on social media, using the hashtag abc-7 first alert.” and now for a look at the sun bowl. those who decided to tough out the weather were treated to a pretty good ball game as miami and washington state duked it out on the field for the 82nd annual hyundai sun bowl. the miami hurricanes were making their first appearance since 2010… while washington state was in the game for the first time since 2001… in the first half… gabe marks catches a touchdown pass to help washington take a 20-7 lead at the half… miami had a chance to take the lead late in the ballgame… but mark walton fumbles and washington state recovers… the final from a snowy sun bowl. washington state 20, miami 14. in other news, a teen led state troopers on a car chase before crashing into a fence. this is video shot by our ’round the clock news team. as you can see one of the passengers is being taken into a trooper’s car. troopers say the chase began at 7 yesterday morning in northeast el paso near dyer and o’rourke. officials say a 17-year old missing teen was driving in a stolen vehicle when troopers tried to pull her over for speeding, but she failed to stop. a pursuit began but shortly ended after she lost control of the car. a 15-year old passenger was taken to u-m-c with serious injuries. holloman air force base will be a temporary shelter for hundreds of immigrant children from central america. this is video is from last years influx of refugees from central america at the texas/ mexico border. according to the alamogordo daily news – u-s defense secretary ashton carter has directed the base to house up to 400 children. starting in january the children will be housed in a vacant building that was used by the 4th space surveillance. the children are refugees who fled conflict in their homeland and are trying to reunite with their families in the u-s. …stormtrack weather now! let’s get your first forecast with stormtracker iris lopez if you were thinking of braving the snow to go to church this morning, listen up because we have a lot of service cancelations going on this morning. the abundant living faith center’s 8:30-am service is canceled, but they say they’re 10:30 and 12:30 services will continue as normal. and scotsdale baptist is also canceling its service due to bad weather. other churches include montwood church of christ… del sol church… living grace church/la paz faith… coronado christian church… st. francis catholic church… sunshine community church… calvary chapel sun city horizon christian fellowship vista hills church northeast bible fellowship st. christopher’s episcopal church uu church of las cruces iglesia bautisa hispana. and montwood church of the nazarene iglesia de dios elyon will have mass starting at 11. you can check out the full list of closures — both church services and road closures at kvia.com and other parts of texas are experiencing severe weather as well. seven people are dead after
