with aiding terror groups. and the legal fees are definitely adding up in the aftermath of the university medical center – el paso children’s bankruptcy agreement. and in stormtrack weather, iris! weather now! let’s get your first forecast with stormtracker iris lopez. a dry and warm weak ahead as flow aloft remains west to northwest. this flow will bring several weak disturbances aloft… with each one bringing some clouds but little or no chance of rain. the first disturbance is bringing considerable high clouds to the area this morning but should clear out by the afternoon. the second disturbance moves through monday night and tuesday… again with just some clouds. a third disturbance moves across wednesday. this one will be a bit stronger…producin g a breezy afternoon…but still too far north for any shot at rain. temperatures will warm back a bit above normal today and then even warmer for much of next week. after two full days of searching, there is still no sign of the 12 marines who went missing after their their helicopters apparently collided in hawaii. community members gathered saturday night for a candlelight vigil. jobeth devera reports. :09-:16 :37-:51 :57-1:03 outcue: “their brothers family and friends are mourning the loss of a chicago family and friends are mourning the loss of a chicago newswoman known as a trailblazer. anne swaney’s body was discovered friday morning in a river in belize. the 39-year-old was an executive producer at abc-seven- chicago-dot- com. swaney was a globe-trotter who was in western belize earlier this week. she was ready to take part in a horseback riding expedition, but volunteered to stay behind when the group was short one horse. when the tour returned, they noticed that swaney was missing…and that things seemed suspicious. they found her body in a river in belize… with bruises and lacerations…the next day. no word on what happened yet. an investigation is under way. meanwhile…. the nuclear deal between iran and six world powers in now in force. the u.n. nuclear agency has certified iran’s compliance with certain requirements, which triggered the lifting of sanctions on tehran. iran’s president says the nuclear deal quote—“opened ne windows for engagement with the world.” he said the officia implementation yesterday left everyone but the most radical elements satisfied. two people have been arrested on terror-related charges after possibly heading overseas to assist terror groups. the department of justice says joseph hassan farrokh was taken into custody at richmond international airport. authorities say he was heading to syria. a second person, mahmoud amin mohamed elhassan, allegedly drove farrokh to the airport. farrokh, a u.s. citizen, is accused of attempting to provide materials and resources to a terror organization. elhassan, originally from sudan, is charged with assisting farrokh. new this morning … the legal fees are adding up in the el paso childrn’s hospital bankruptcy case. according to the el paso times this morning—university medical center has paid law firm norton rose fuillbright—1 point 9 million dollars between may 19th until the end of november. adding on to that–the children’s bill from law firm jackson walker is at 1 point 3 million dollars. the county’s law firm, james and hugland, says that they are currently at 2- hundred and sixty 2 thousand. the bankruptcy total came out to 3 point 5 million and the final numbers still need to be submitted. and finally, the restructuring consultant, alixpartners is owed about 1 point 25 million as of right now as well. the county is objecting to some of the professional fees claimed by children’s. a court hearing will be scheduled once final bills are submitted. dona ana sheriff’s detectives need your help finding information regarding two attempted child abductions. map w/ cg officials say the first incident happened on christmas day near apodaca and snow road south of las cruces. detectives say a girl was approached by two men wearing ski masks on an a-t-v and told her to “get in” the atv. the girl was able to run back home and told her parents. map w/ cg the second incident happened on december 29th near the pic quick on south main and tortugas. detectives say a man threatened a 12-year old boy with a knife and told him to get in his van. the supect drove off with the boy, but when the van came to a stop, the boy managed to escape by hitting the man in the face. detectives are asking anyone with information to call crimestoppers at 1- 800-222-tips . the el paso fire department is still investigating how a home caught fire in the north east. it happened about 9:30 yesterday morning on the 83- hundred block of mount baldy drive. this is off of diana between railroad and dyer. when fire crews arrived, they found smoking coming from their air conditioning unit. luckily, everyone in the home got out out of the home all thanks to their five year old son. a fire spokesman said one of the children warned his parents of fire and they allescaped. crews were able to put it out in less than 10 minutes. officials say the fire caused an estimated $7,000 in damage. / abc-7 is still waiting to learn the identity of a woman who was injured in a rollover early yesterday morning. it happened just after 3 this morning on u-s-54 near golden sands. special traffic investigators were called out to investigate. police tell abc-7 a 28-year old woman lost control of her car, causing it to crash and roll over several times. the driver was thrown from the car. she was taken to u-m-c with serious injuries. the passenger was wearing her seat belt and was treated for minor injuries. new this morning–take a look at this! a car smashes into a gas station in australia, nearly hitting a woman inside. the accident was caught on surveillance cameras. the woman disappears from sight as the car flies into the convenience store. it appears she is hit …but the car just misses her. the collision triggered a gas leak. authorities blocked off the area until it was contained. store workers dragged the two people inside the car out to safety. they were taken to the hospital for treatment. police are investigating to determine what caused the accident–and whether alcohol was a factor. / a family of three in fresno is safe this morning after being rescued when their apartment caught fire in fresno california. it happened early saturday morning and it was all caught on a go-pro attached to a firefighters helmet—take a look! here you see the fireman running to the building holding the ladder. a total of seven people were rescued from the apartment building. that included a family of three on the second floor who’s only way to safety was through a window. the smoke was so heavy in the staircase that there was no other exit. several residents inhaled too much smoke but the damage was minimal and everyone got out alive. the fire was contained within minutes of the arrival of firefighters and the damage was contained to the staircase. don’t forget tomorrow is martin luther king day— here is a list of closing for the city of el paso. state and federal offices will be closed, as well as the u.s post office and el paso county and city offices.. public libraries and senior centers will be closed along with the el paso museum of art. the city landfill will be shut down as well as parks and recreation pre- school and day care programs. the public health department will also be observing the federal holiday. here is a list of school districts that will be closed tomorrow—they include el paso, ysleta, socorro, canutillo, anthony and san elizario districts. utep and epcc will also be closed. sun metro, the el paso zoo and the city aquatics and rec
