Chihuahuas announce 2016 promotions

Cody Decker is returning to Southwest University Park….at least in bobblehead form.

The real Cody Decker signed with the Royals organization back in December.

Not to worry though, Chihuahuas fans will get a chance to get their hands on a bobblehead replica of the fan favorite on June 15.

But that’s not the only special evening catching the attention of fans.

The Famous San Diego Chicken will be making an appearance in El Paso on August 3. Rowdy, the mascot of the Dallas Cowboys, will make his Chihuahuas debut on July 20.

May 21 will be the time to rock and roll all night and party every day. KISS night at the ballpark is scheduled then and will feature the debut of KISS-inspired jerseys.

The Chihuahuas will be giving away some cold-weather gear this summer as well.

Fans who attend the game on June 2 will receive a soccer-style scarf, while those in the crowd on July 14 will be getting a fleece blanket presented by Sarah Farms.

Individual tickets for this upcoming season go on sale Saturday, February 27.

The Chihuahuas open their home season April 15 at 7:05 p.m. against the Reno Aces.
