Man killed in motorcycle crash in west El Paso identified

El Paso Police have identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash Tuesday. This happened on the 500 block of East Redd in west El Paso around 9:30 a.m.

Police state Michael Lambert, 28, was speeding westbound on Redd when he lost control of the 2005 CBR motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the curb and Lambert was thrown and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was taken to University Medical Center where he later died.

Special Traffic Investigators assisted in the investigation. Investigators do not believe any other vehicles were involved and that speed is a factor is the crash. The case remains an ongoing investigation.

This is the 15th traffic related death in 2016 compared to 9 at this time in 2015.
