Marvel’s ‘Logan’ hits theaters this weekend

Hugh Jackman will make his final appearance as X-Men’s Wolverine in the film ‘Logan,’ in theaters now.

It is already expected to take the top spot in the Box Office with an estimated $60 million.

Logan is the first R-rated film in the Wolverine series.

The Borderland serves as the setting for part of the film, but unfortunately, it doesn’t appear Hugh Jackman was in El Paso at all.

The movie was shot in Deming and Albuquerque.

In the film, Jackman’s character is hiding out in Juarez, but works as a limo driver in El Paso.

In the weeks leading up to the premiere, Jackman posted several photos hinting the movie’s location, including a picture of a sign that read Highway 62.

Highway 180/62 connects El Paso to Carlsbad.

In an interview with Architectural Digest, production designer Francois Audouy said Logan’s hideout was originally supposed to be an oil refinery, but that changed when location scouts found an abandoned site outside Deming.
