Fans pack the house for opportunity to meet Danny Green
San Antonio Spurs guard/forward Danny Green took time out of his busy schedule to greet his El Paso fans at a local furniture store Thursday night.
Green appeared at National Furniture Liquidators to sign autographs and take photos with Spurs fans from the Sun City.
Fans packed the store, forming a long line just for a chance to meet the NBA champion.
Green arrived in El Paso Thursday to prepare to host a basketball camp at Parkland High School this weekend. The camp is open to players ages 8-17 and costs $199.

Green said that before he hosts the camp, he wanted to give fans who can’t attend a chance to meet with him.
It’s the second straight year he’s visited El Paso in the offseason to host his camp, and he’s really growing fond of the city.
“Not a lot of them get a chance to attend camp or interact with me, so this is an opportunity for the older group to actually say hello and meet me and take some pictures and sign some autographs,” said Green.
Green says that his camp last year was such a success that it was an easy call to host it in El Paso once again.
“With how much fun we had last year, it was a no-brainer,” Green said. “You see all the fans and how much love they show us. Who would say ‘no’ to this?”
