Sex offender arrested after allegedly escaping from Horizon City facility

A man accused of sexually abusing a teenager was arrested after allegedly escaping from the El Paso Transitional Center in Horizon City.

El Paso Police Department officers arrested Adam Lewis Schulz on Tuesday on the 10300 block of Gateway West Blvd. and booked into the El Paso County jail.

The El Paso county Sheriff’s Office said Schulz escaped the facility on Sunday, July 9, and requested the public’s help to find him.

He was wanted on a Forgery Parole Violation and an additional charge of Sex Offenders Duty to Register, according to authorities.

He is charged with Sexual Assault of a Child. the victim was a 16-year-old female.
