Motorcyclist killed on Anthony Gap highway
New Mexico state police say a motorcyclist was killed on State Road 404 Thursday morning.
Investigators say a 2006 Pontiac sport utility vehicle was traveling west on state road 404 when the driver, 37 year old Daniel Sapien of El Paso, drove into on coming traffic and struck the motorcycle heading in the opposite direction.
The motorcyclist has been identified as 42 yr old Mark Sharples of Anthony, TX, Sharples was ejected from his motorcycle and died at the scene.
Daniel Sapien was transported to University Medical Center in El Paso, TX. with non life threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
