Four arrested in connection to Central EP drive-by shooting

Investigators with the police department’s Crimes Against Persons and Gang units arrested four suspects in connection with a drive-by shooting in Central El Paso.

The shooting happened shortly before 9 pm Sunday night.

Police said 27-year-old Tony Calhoun, 32-year-old Jennifer Levy, 53-year-old Jeanette Jackson and 21-year-old Melissa Jackson worked together in an attempt to kill four victims.

The victims, a 21-year-old Female, 35-year-old Male, 17-year-old Male, and 24-year-old Male were gathered outside an apartment on the 3800 block of Hayes, when the suspects drove by and discharged a firearm.

Police said the 21-year-old woman was struck several times. The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she remains hospitalized.

The suspects allegedly fled the scene and later stopped by CAP & Gang investigators.

All were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a charge of Criminal Attempted Murder.

Their bonds were set at $500,000 each.

Investigators recovered a weapon and their investigation continues.
