Police identify motorcyclist killed in crash

A motorcyclist died when he slammed into the back of a dump truck Friday, police said.

The motorcyclist was identified as 32-year-old Christian Barron, whom police said died at the scene.

Investigators said the Kenworth dump truck was parked along the 7900 block of Artcraft Road because it had been involved in a separate crash.

This is the 31st traffic-related death of 2017 in El Paso, compared with 40 at this same time last year.
