The Hospitals of Providence to open its Horizon City Campus
The Hospitals of Providence is opening its first micro hospital in the city of Horizon.
The Horizon City Campus has partnered with Emerus, the largest operator of micro hospitals, and The Hospitals of Providence to provide its first Hospital of Providence Horizon City Council.
The 40,000-square-foot location is the first micro hospital in El Paso. It will offer the same type of health care services that are typically found on a larger hospital campus. This includes an emergency department, inpatient unit, laboratory, and imaging services as well as medical offices for physicians and other health care providers. The new facility will offer expanded health care services to the community with compassion, efficiency and excellence, while maintaining the highest standards for quality, safety and service.
Allie Lozano with the Hospital of Providence told ABC-7 that the goal of having a new campus in Horizon is to give locals an option to receive care in their community.
“I want patients out in the area to feel comfortable and confident in us to receive their care and understand that they have somewhere to go now without having to drive into town.”
The hospital will open its doors to patients on Wednesday September 6th.
