Del Valle High student arrested, police allegedly found handgun and ammunition in car
Police arrested a Del Valle High School student after officers allegedly found a 9mm handgun in the student’s vehicle.
Miguel Angel De La Torre, 17, is charged with “Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon in Prohibited Place.”
De La Torre was arrested Thursday morning at Del Valle High School, located at 950 Bordeaux in El Paso’s Lower Valley.
Police said De La Torre’s vehicle was parked in the high school’s parking lot. Police also found ammunition for the 9mm handgun inside the car.
De La Torre was jailed on a $2,500 bond.
