Texas inmate accused of sexually assaulting teacher

A Texas prison inmate has been accused of sexually assaulting a teacher after she had taught a class at a penitentiary.

The teacher says she had finished teaching at a classroom at the Ferguson Unit on Nov. 13 when the inmate, who was hiding behind a door after everyone had left, assaulted her.

The teacher says there were no prison guards or any working cameras in the area where she was attacked.

The prison system’s Office of the Inspector General has served an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Xavier Johnson on a charge of aggravated sexual assault.

He had already been serving a 13 year sentence for burglary of a habitation at the unit, located north of Huntsville.

Johnson faces up to life in prison if convicted of aggravated sexual assault.
