I-10 at Lordsburg closed in both directions

The New Mexico Department of Transportation reported a road closure along the I-10 Lordsburg area Wednesday night due to low visibility.

I-10 Westbound and Eastbound lanes are closed between mile marker five to mile marker 20.

New Mexico State Police said they are monitoring the roadway at this time.

The Department of Transportation asks motorists to reduce their driving speed, obey posted signs, and be cautious.

In June of 2017, low visibility caused a 25 car pile up along the interstate killing six people.
