The two hitting clinics on Jan. 20 will be broken up by age group:

– Session 1: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Ages 10 to 12
– Session 2: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. – Ages 13 to 15

If you choose to attend, you are asked to arrive about 30 minutes prior to the start of your session.

Decker signed last February with the Diamondbacks organization and spent much of the year with the Reno Aces in Triple-A. But he says that El Paso still has a special place in his memory.

“The City of El Paso has given me so much in my career and life,” Decker said. “I cannot begin to say how excited I am to give something back and instruct some young players in the community that supported me so well.”

The clinic is part of a two-day weekend of festivities for Decker who will also be a guest at Temple Mount Sinai’s showing of “Heading Home: The Tale of Team Israel.”

The movie recounts the rise of Team Israel into a contender at the World Baseball Classic.
