Police investigating crash involving school bus near state line

Two people suffered serious injuries after a pickup collided with a school bus, police said.

The driver of the school bus was at fault, police said, adding the driver ran a stop sign. No children were inside the bus at the time, police added.

Two other people suffered minor injuries. One of those two was able to drive to a hospital for treatment.

Police have not said if the two people who suffered serious injuries were in the truck or in the bus.

The wreck was reported shortly before 2 p.m. on US 54 North and State Line.

ABC-7 Reporter Peter Rothermel reports traffic is slowing down, but not being turned back.

Drivers, however, are not able to enter the State Line Steakhouse near the intersection.
