Alvin and Aaron Jones were at Fort Bliss to hang out with the troops

Aaron and Alvin Jones, twin brothers and former Miner superstar football players were in town.

They spent some time with some of the soldiers at Fort Bliss.

The brothers brought Major General Matlock a signed Green Bay Packers jersey.

In turn the general presented the brothers with certificates of appreciation.

After the ceremony Aaron and Alvin spent time shaking hands, taking pictures and hanging out with the troops.

Alvin Jones said of the experience, “its a blessing you know, growing up you see people do this and you really don’t see what it means. Especially with the troops because without them none of this is possible so its just an amazing feeling.”

Aaron Jones remarked, “It means a lot to me. I grew up here. The only other place I lived was when I went to college. This is home.”
