El Paso Locomotive take on their rival for the first time in franchise history

El Paso Locomotive FC took on the New Mexico United Sunday, May 11th.

The two teams are closes enough to each other forcing a natural rivalry.

The game kicked off around 6PM under drizzling skies.

The goals would come in the 36th minute. Jerome Kiesewetter would take a feed inside the keepers box and beat him one on one for the first of the game!

Ten mintues later Sam Hamilton would manage to stay onside to tie the game at 1 right before the half.

Kiesevetter would continue the roll he has been on all month by receiving a beautiful cross in the box and capping it for the point!

79th minute disaster would strike the Locomotive as Ryan Williams in a position that could have been easily called offsides beats Logan Ketterer for the equalizer.

The game would end in a tie.

Coach Lowry said after the game, “We’re brilliant, the chances the possessions we created, we were superb.”
