EPPD: Homeless man ambushes, stabs 2 Burger King employees in West El Paso

Police say the man accused of stabbing two Burger King employees in West El Paso was reported for a disturbance earlier that day.

Kenneth Casey Frank, 28, is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault.

The stabbing was reported at 2:59 a.m. on May 19, 2019 at the Burger King at 7935 N. Mesa.

Police said the two Burger King employees, identified as 27-year-old Marco Reyes of El Paso and 18-year-old Seth Gomez of Sunland Park, suffered serious injuries after being stabbed.

Frank allegedly ambushed the employees after they closed and left the restaurant, police said.

Police said Frank was arrested nearby when the victims pointed him out to officers arriving at the scene.

Officers had stopped and questioned Frank earlier that morning after employees had reported him for a disturbance, police said. At that time, Frank was released once it was determined no crime had been committed.

Frank was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under bonds totaling $100,000.
