El Paso Police arrested a young man accused of soliciting two boys for sex online.

Elijah Dshon Mendez, 19, of the 4600 block of Tumbleweed El Paso, Texas, is charged with online solicitation of a minor under 14 years of age.

Police said the victims’ parents contacted investigators to report suspicious communications between Mendez and their children on social media.

One of the victims was eleven years old while the second victim was 12 years old, police said. The boys do not know each other, but were communicating with Mendez during the same time frame, police said.

An investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit allegedly revealed Mendez was aware of the ages of the victims and continued communicating with them both.

“During the course of the online conversations, the Defendant expressed an interest in meeting for sexual purposes,” a criminal complaint states, “The Defendant expressed interest in oral and anal sex.”

When discussing a location to meet, Mendez allegedly told one of his victims it was “too obvious,” further stating “let’s hide our love,” the criminal complaint states.

The ICAC unit set up an undercover operation with an investigator posing as the 12-year-old boy. The criminal complaint states, that during a conversation, Mendez allegedly told the undercover officer “Immma (expletive) u so hard your gonna moan yes daddy yes more.”

On May 17, 2019, Mendez arrived at a residence on the 4500 block of Sun Valley to meet with the person Mendez allegedly believed to be the minor “for the sole purpose of engaging in sexual intercourse,” the court document states.

Mendez was taken into custody and booked into the EL Paso County Detention Facility on a $50,000 bond.
