Premio Nobel de la Paz: Obama, la UE y otras sorpresas del galardón

(CNN) — El Comité del Nobel ha provocado numerosas polémicas en su larga historia con la adjudicación de varios ganadores del Premio de la Paz.

Su decisión de otorgar el premio a la Unión Europea en 2012 fue objeto de burla, dadas las crisis financieras, los registros de derechos y las políticas exteriores de algunos de los estados miembros del bloque.

Tres premios Nobel, el arzobispo Desmond Tutu, Mairead Maguire y Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, dijeron que la Unión Europea no calificaba para el premio y le pidieron a la junta que no lo entregara.
