Thanksgiving brings changes in Thursday & Friday trash pickup for El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - If your trash and recycling bins are regularly collected on a Thursday or Friday, the City of El Paso Environmental Services Department says your garbage collection day will be modified for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Collections scheduled for Thursday and Friday, November 28 & 29 will be moved to Monday, December 2.

Only gray trash bins will be collected under this holiday schedule, and they should be left out until they are emptied. Customers should wait to set out their blue recycling bins until their next regular collection day.

To help customers get rid of excess Thanksgiving holiday waste, homes affected by this schedule may place bagged trash next to their gray bins for collection at no extra charge.
