EL PASO, Texas -- A pair of Sunday morning stabbings in El Paso left four people wounded, authorities said.

The first incident happened just after 8 a.m. in the 400 block of Loma Grande. Two victims were taken to hospitals, but there was no word on the extent of their wounds.

The second case happened about 10:40 a.m. in the 1200 block of E. San Antonio Avenue. Two more victims were also taken to hospitals; there was no immediate word on their conditions.

Police said investigators from the department's central command and crimes against persons units were working to piece together what happened in the two incidents. There was no word of any arrests.
