Anti-War Rally Held at Memorial Park
EL PASO, Texas- A group activists gathered in Central El Paso earlier this morning to call for peace in the Middle East. Their rally focused on the tension between the United States and Iran.
Those in attendance say they are demanding lawmakers condemn past and future military intervention in the Middle East.
Local groups at the park included Veterans for Peace, Sunrise El Paso, Democratic Socialists of El Paso, and La Mujer Obrera.
"This is a very bi-partisan issue war mongering in the middle east we need to let them know those people are not our enemies we've been uninvited from the region," activist Graciela Blandon said at the event.
