EL PASO, Texas -- A stabbing near Austin High School seriously injured a teenager on Thursday afternoon.

Fire dispatchers said the victim was taken to University Medical Center in serious condition about 1 p.m.

An El Paso Independent School District spokesman said the stabbing victim walked into the school office from off campus seeking help and 9-1-1 was called.

It was not immediately known if the stabbing victim was a student and no further details were available.
