El Paso’s Brave Bookstore puts on art contest for bookmark designs

EL PASO, Texas- Brave Bookstore is looking for local artists to decorate their bookmarks.

Owner of Brave Bookstore, Jud Burgess says there is a lot of local artistic talent that he would like to meld with literature.

“There is no holds barred here, it's carte blanche.  You can do whatever you like, whether it is photography, if you want to do something that involves a quotation about reading you know they can do that as well,” Burgess shared with ABC-7.

He went on to say that the winners will receive a $40 gift certificate to the book store and their art displayed on 1,000 book marks that will be given free to customers.

Burgess added that they will choose around four winners every three to four months.
