Man is sentenced to life in prison plus 300 years sexual exploitation of a minor; victims included children in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas - A Stratford, Texas man was sentenced to life in prison on numerous counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Court documents show Johnny George Gonzalez, 35, was using the Dark Web forum to share links to digital storage folders containing child pornography and child erotica.

The case was referred to the FBI, agents obtained a warrant to search his El Paso residence, where more than 65 electronic devices, including laptops, desktops, hard drives, cell phones, thumb drives and tablets, were found to have one million images and videos with child pornography.

United States District Judge Frank Montalvo also sentenced Gonzalez to an additional 300 years in prison to run consecutive to his life sentence.

“For eight years, Gonzalez documented his depraved sexual abuse through photographs and videos, which he then shared with pedophiles around the world,” said U.S. Attorney Ashley C. Hoff.

"Through the investigation, investigators discovered Gonzalez made recordings of pre-pubescent boys and girls in retail stores across El Paso, with a particular focus on their breasts, genitals and buttocks."
