Science says there’s a formula for putting your crying baby to sleep

CNN --

Science has a formula to help your crying baby get to sleep. Here's the formula.

Hold your baby and walk around for five minutes. Researches then say to sit with your baby for five to eight minutes before you finally put your baby in their crib. Scientists compared infant reactions to four scenarios to come up with the formula.

They say skipping the sitting part makes it harder for babies to sleep and by extension you, the parents.
