Rio Grande Cancer Foundation opens The Pink Boutique this Saturday for special event

EL PASO, Texas - The Rio Grande Cancer Foundation opens The Pink Boutique this Saturday from 10 am to noon at the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation, 616 North Virginia, Suite D. Admission is free.

For breast cancer patients there will be great prices on mastectomy garments, you can get a free flu shot courtesy of Walgreens, spin Rocky's Wheel of Prizes and grab a snack at the Fox Auto Team's Sweet Treat Shop. Enter the raffle for $5.00 and you could win the grand prize of a Pink Boutique Total Wine Experience for you and up to 20 of your friends.

The Pink Boutique is one of a number of projects from the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation. The foundation is the largest of its kind dedicated to supporting our local cancer community for any type of cancer at any stage of the journey. The Foundation initiates projects promoting healthy living, quality of life, education, support services, prevention, awareness and early detection because cancer support is more than treatment. 

Among the Foundation's programs are PATS - Patient Assistance/Transportation Services, providing financial assistance for medically related cancer expenses. (Physician referral required, recipient must be a resident of El Paso County.) Four Seasons Beauty Program which gives out wigs, hats, scarves, mastectomy garments and lymphedema sleeve support, free of charge. The Men’s Health Initiative Awareness provides prevention, early detection and support for male related cancers. Bee Sun Smart Skin Cancer awareness and prevention, particularly in children, through classroom activities, educational programming and sunscreen dispensers for outdoor events. The Classroom Series brings diverse and fun events focused on healthy eating and cooking, stress relief and yoga classes, all free of charge. The Foundation also produces the Good 2 Know Daily Social Media blog and weekly newsletter of current healthy living tips, recipes and personal stories to inspire your journey to wellness. And the Cancer Help Center is a user-friendly, one-stop website with free information and resources for those recently diagnosed with cancer.
