DHS Secretary Mayorkas meets with local leaders in midst of migrant surge
EL PASO, Texas -- Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas will be in El Paso Tuesday to meet with local leaders about the surge of migrants crossing into the Borderland.
Mayor Oscar Leeser and County Judge Ricardo Samaniego will be a part of the meeting, but it is unclear where the meeting will take place.
During a work session on Monday morning, Mayor Leeser said he had "some questions" for Mayorkas and was hoping to get some "clarification" on things.
ABC-7 was not granted an interview with the DHS Secretary.
