“Ezequiel,” the Juarez pancake-eating pig caught stealing a kilo of tortillas, finds new home

JUAREZ, Chihuahua (KVIA) -- "Ezequiel" has received some attention lately after escaping home.

In late 2022, Juarez authorities rescued him and brought him to the RAMM, a Juarez city department that cares for abandoned animals.

After he escaped the first time, authorities tried caring for the pig.

They realized the pig wouldn't eat, no matter what they tried to feed him. So they tried pancakes and Ezequiel started eating again.

Last Monday, Ezequiel escaped from his new home. Juarez residents found him outside a convenience store.

They observed Ezequiel leaving the store with a "kilo" of tortillas which caught the attention of hundreds of people on social media.

Now he's at a new home on a farm on the Casas Grandes Highway.
