Local group demands BOTA federal funds be used to address environment concerns

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A local group is calling on the $600 million in federal funding for renovations to The Bridge of the Americas (BOTA) to be used to address environmental concerns.

Familias Unidas del Chamizal is asking that the renovations consider health impacts and not violate the civil rights of vulnerable communities.

The group said that pollution will increase due to the renovations.
