Commercial operations at bridges resumed today; how it affected business at the border

JUAREZ, Chihuahua (KVIA) -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection of Field Operations in El Paso announced that operations would resume in the cargo lots of the Ysleta and Bridge of the Americas ports of entry.

Commercial operations were suspended for three days affecting regular border crossers and cargo drivers.

On Tuesday, Juarez business leaders mentioned the struggle hundreds of borderland residents experienced in crossing.

With the incoming influx of migrants south of the border, business leaders know another suspension can happen sooner or later, further impacting their business.
