2 injured in central El Paso stabbing Friday night

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Two people were stabbed Friday night near the Opportunity Center for the Homeless, according to police.

That's in south-central El Paso at the 1200 block of Myrtle Avenue.

An ABC-7 crew watched a man being taken into custody at the scene of the incident.

Witnesses told ABC-7 that there was a crowd of people gathered outside of the Opportunity Center, leading to a fight breaking out. They say this is when they believe the stabbing happened.

Police say the two people stabbed were taken to the hospital.
