UPDATE: Shooting in Las Cruces leaves “six to seven” people injured

UPDATE 11:41 a.m. - The Las Cruces Police Department issued a correction from earlier this morning, stating no one has died from a result of this shooting. However, a spokesman did say one person remains in critical condition at this time, and says there are "six to seven victims" total. They add there are no suspects at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- At least six people have been injured in a shooting in Las Cruces, according to police.

It happened late Saturday night around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Dyer Street and Missouri Avenue at a house party.

We're working with the Las Cruces Police Department to learn more about this shooting.

Police say there is no danger to the public, but are warning people to avoid the area.
