EPWater to Host 2026 Water Festival Celebrating El Paso’s Most Vital Resource

El Paso, TX (KVIA-TV)-EPWater will be holding a celebration of our region's most important resource at the 2026 Water event. This free event features a variety of activities and entertainment for the whole family.
Attractions include watercolor art sessions, water-related demonstrations and art activities, music and dance entertainment featuring Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Dancers, Dash Rivera, and the El Paso Youth Jazz Ensemble; the exhibition booths will highlight local organizations such as the El Paso Zoo, El Paso Fire Department, Conservation Society of El Paso, El Paso Electric, and The American Cultural Center, and a number of others. Food sales will take place in front of the TecH2O Center. This year, EPWater is opening the Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Plant, a public facility and the world's largest inland desalination plant. People 14 years old or older must register for employee-guided tours, which start at 11 a.m. and meet security requirements. Tours are held every 20 minutes. For more information, call 915-621-2000.
