SOCORRO, Texas -- A second teenager was arrested Monday in the month-old slaying of a Socorro High School football player, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said.

A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody about 4:30 p.m. by deputies on a murder charge stemming from the late January drive-by shooting death of 15-year-old Socorro High sophomore Jesus Estrada.

Officials said the charge against the teen arrested Monday was brought in juvenile court. A 16-year-old boy was arrested on a juvenile murder charge last month, just days after the killing.

Estrada's body was discovered lying alongside the road in the 11500 block of Villa Del Mar on Jan. 22.
