Man seriously hurt in stabbing attack in east El Paso neighborhood

EL PASO, Texas -- A stabbing attack Sunday evening in an east El Paso neighborhood left a man seriously wounded.

The stabbing happened around 5 p.m. in the 11000 block of Beachfront Drive, which was cordoned off by officers.

Fire officials said the injured person was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, but police later indicated those injuries were not life-threatening.

Police didn't provide any details surrounding what led up to the attack, nor did they indicate if any arrests had been made.
