2 dead, 2 injured after a DPS pursuit ends in a crash
Update: Texas DPS Troopers arrested 20-year-old Floridian Adrian Neeko Brustie and 19-year-old Texas Juelissa Krisel Seniceres and charged them with human smuggling.
Texas DPS officials provided ABC-7 with the following statement describing the minutes leading up to the crash.
"Preliminary investigation shows that yesterday, November 20, 2023, at approximately 8:25 p.m., a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Trooper observed a red/maroon KIA passenger vehicle near Doniphan Drive and Mesa Street with a registration violation. The DPS Trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the KIA passenger vehicle failed to stop and fled. The driver of the KIA drove through the public parking lots of Food Kings Grocery Store and Spec's Wine and Foods, while migrants bailed out as the vehicle was in motion.
The KIA passenger vehicle merged onto Interstate 10, traveling eastbound at high rates of speed. It continued southbound on Trowbridge Drive at a high rate of speed, struck a curb and a yield sign. Visual contact with the KIA passenger vehicle was lost briefly. Assisting troopers located the vehicle near the intersection of Trowbridge Drive and North Loop where it had crashed and rolled.
There were a total of (6) six occupants in the KIA. Two undocumented citizens were pronounced dead on the scene. Four other subjects were located on the scene, consisting of the driver (a U.S. Citizen), front passenger (a U.S. Citizen), and 2 other undocumented citizens. The undocumented migrants were transported to hospitals with injuries. The driver was identified as Adrian Neeko Brustie, age 20 of Florida, and the front right passenger, Juelissa Krisel Seniceres, age 19 of Texas, were arrested for Human Smuggling. No further information is available at this time."

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Two people are dead and two others after a Texas Department of Public Safety pursuit ends in a serious crash, Monday night.
Fire officials were called out after 8:30 p.m. to the crash on the 7000 block of North Loop Dr. not far from Marathon Refinery.
A spokesperson with the DPS said, that a trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop in west El Paso but the driver of the KIA sped up. Initiating a pursuit.
They say at one point the trooper lost sight of the vehicle but was able to locate it once again.
At this point the pursuit made its way to the Lower Valley and later the crash occurred.
A total of six people were inside the KIA. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two others were transported to the hospital. One with serious injuries, the other with minor injuries.
We are working to find out the condition of the other two people in the vehicle.
No word yet if this was a human smuggling attempt.
