One person is dead after a shooting in far east El Paso, police say

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- One person is dead after a shooting in far east El Paso, early Wednesday morning.

The shooting is said to have occurred at 4470 Rich Beem Blvd. inside an apartment complex.

According to police dispatch, the call came in at 12:54 a.m.

Police say a woman was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds. She later died from her injuries.

EPPD Spokesperson told ABC-7 that there seems to be no threat to the community but asks to be vigilant.

El Paso Police is asking for the public's help in locating the person responsible for the shooting.

They ask if you have any information regarding the shooting to call (915)-566-8477 (TIPS) or you can submit your tip anonymously at Crime Stoppers of El Paso website.
