Man killed in crash at Doniphan and Redd identified

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Police just identified the man who died in the crash at the intersection of Doniphan and Redd Friday night as Raymundo Carlos Martinez, 41.

Special Traffic Investigators say that Martinez was a passenger in a car traveling north on Doniphan. When the car started to make a U-turn, it was t-boned by another car. Martinez died at the hospital. The driver and another passenger, a 10-year-old girl, received treatment at the hospital.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the crash. They have not released any information on who, if anyone, was at fault for the collision.

Police say that this crash was the 26th of the year, compared to 28 this time last year.


ORIGINAL STORY (June 7, 2025): One person was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash in West El Paso late Friday.

It happened at the intersection of Redd Rd. and Doniphan Dr.

El Paso Police say two cars were involved in the crash. Three people were injured and declined to be taken to the hospital.

Special Traffic Investigators are looking into the details of the crash.
