Hundreds of gallons of fuel spill onto I-10 East near Paisano
Update (11:28 AM): El Paso Fire Department officials say that two fuel tanks, each containing 100 gallons of fuel, ruptured and leaked diesel onto the highway. The HAZMAT team responded to help clean up afterward.
The spill happened in the aftermath of a crash on I-10 East near the Paisano exit in central El Paso. All lanes are now back open.
UPDATE (8:15 a.m.): Eastbound lanes have reopened.
Westbound lanes will remain closed for 1 to 2 more hours, according to TXDOT.
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- All lanes on I-10 East and West are closed near Paisano due to a semi truck crash in the Westbound lanes.
Eastbound lanes are closed as crews clean up debris from the crash.
Traffic is being directed to exit at Paisano, Exit 23B.
TXDOT does not have an estimated clearing time.
