Teen seriously injured after stabbing, woman in custody after stabbing in West El Paso

UPDATE (10:51 p.m.): EPPD said a woman in her 40s was taken into custody and faces aggravated assault charges. She is expected to be taken to the hospital to evaluate her status.

This comes after a standoff lasting more than four hours concluded at a home on the 400 block of Nordstrom in West El Paso at 10:20 p.m., according to El Paso Police.

It concluded when the El Paso Police SWAT unit had to break into the garage of the home, and physically remove the woman from the premisis.

A 14-year-old boy has been hospitalized with stab wounds, according to police.

Three other juveniles were reported to be in the home at the time of officers arriving earlier this evening, however none of them sustained any injuries and were recovered, according to police.

This remains a developing story and ABC-7 will continue to provide further updates as we learn them.


UPDATE (9:10 p.m.): The standoff between El Paso Police's swat team and a woman inside a house on the 400 block of Nordstrom in West El Paso is still ongoing.

Police have continued to use a megaphone speaker system to communicate with the woman inside of the house, as an audio recording of another woman claiming to be her sister has aired over the speaker within the last 30 minutes.

A public information officer with the El Paso Police Department is expected to speak to the media around 9:20 p.m. at the corner of Kenmore Street and Clarkstone Court.

UPDATE: The El Paso Fire Department said one person with serious injuries was taken to an area hospital for treatment.


EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - Several units with the El Paso Police Department responded to a house in the 400 block of Nordstrom in West El Paso.

A call reporting a stabbing in a house in the area was received about 5:47 p.m. by police.

No word on the severity of the injuries or if any arrested have been made at this time.
