30-year-old woman arrested for allegedly posing as San Elizario school student

SAN ELIZARIO, Texas – A 30-year-old woman is charged with trespassing on school grounds after she allegedly posed as a student in the San Elizario Independent School District, authorities said Friday.

Casey Garcia of San Elizario was being held in the El Paso County Detention Facility on $7,900 bond for charges including criminal trespass, tampering with government records and an outstanding traffic warrant.

Sheriff's deputies said the incident happened on Tuesday and Garcia was identified by school administrators after she made multiple social media postings documenting her exploits. One of those videos entitled "Going to school as my 13-year-old daughter (Middle School edition)" can be viewed in the video player at the top of this article.

Deputies later obtained warrants for Garcia's arrest and took her into custody at her home.

Authorities declined to release further details about the case.
