Borderland school district switches to 4-day school week

KVIA

SAN ELIZARIO, Texas (KVIA) -- San Elizario Independent School District will adopt a 4-day school week for the 2023-2024 school year. That starts in July.

The school year will run from July 25, 2023 to May 31, 2024.

Students will have to attend school for more hours each day, but in exchange they get a 3-day weekend.

The district first approved the change earlier in the current school year, but the plan was just finalized.
