Woman found dead in Horizon home; deputies investigating

HORIZON, Texas -- Authorities found a woman dead in a Horizon home on Saturday morning, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

The Horizon Police Department conducted a welfare check at a home in the 15000 block of Ashford Street about 10:15 a.m., according to a news release.

The police department then requested the assistance of the Sheriff's Office, which has taken over the investigation.

No other information was immediately available.
