Firefighters battle smoky Upper Valley shed blaze

EL PASO, Texas -- Firefighters battled a Upper Valley fire on Monday that produced smoke visible throughout the area.

The blaze broke out about 11:15 a.m. in a large shed reportedly used for hay storage in 200 block Easy Way near Songland Avenue in El Paso.

A fire department spokesman indicated just before 2 p.m. that it had been contained.

At least nine fire department units worked to put out that fire.

There was no immediate word of any injuries and investigators were looking into the cause of the fire.
